RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF.PALO ALTO
ORDERING THE VACATION OF TEN PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS
IN THE MONROE DRIVE AREA, BEING A PORTION OF TBE
RANCHO RINCON DE SAN Ff<.ANClSQUITO
WHEREAS, it is the iutention o.f the Council of the ~ity of
Palo Alto to vacate a total of ten public utility easements in
the City of Palo Alto. County of Santa Clara, State of California,
as described in EXHIBIT A attached hereto and shown on two maps..,
marked EXHIBITS B and c respectively, attached hereto and by
reference made a pa~t hereof; and
WHEREAS, the Council oi the City of Palo Alto does hereby
find that the aforesaid easements have not been used for the
purpose for which they were dedicated or acquired for five con-
secutive years next preceding the date of this resolution; and
WHEREAS 4 from all the e~idence submitted to the Council of
the City of Palo Alto it is found that said easements as described
herein are unnecessary for present or prospective public utilities
and drainage .purposes 1 and ·
WHEREAS, a new underground public utility easement has been
granted to the City to provide electrical service to businesses
fronting on El Camino Real,
NOW, THEREFORE; the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1, That pursuant to the provisions of Section 50443
of the Government Code of the State of California, the Council
of the City of Palo Alto does hereby order that said easements as
described herein be and hereby are vacated-.
SECTION_.?_, ·rhe Council hereby determines that this is not
a project as defined in Section ll,04,130 of the Palo Alto Muni-
cipal Code and therefore no environmental impact assessment is
neces·sary,
SECTION 3, The City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the off ice of the County
Recorder of Santa Clara Countyo
