A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR NO'l'ICE OF INTENTION
TO ADOPT RBSOLU'l'IOM OF NBCBSSITY INITIATING
EMINENT DOMAIN PROCBEDINGS
SAND HILL ROAD (FORMERLY WILLOW ROAD)
PROJECT MO. 74-65
RESOLVED, by the council of the City of Palo Alto, califorqia,
WRBRBAS, it is the intention of this council to adopt a
reaolution of necessity initiating eminent dODain proceedings for
the acquisition of.real property for public street, utility and
related purposes1

1. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to give
notice of tbe intention of this council to adopt a resolution of
necessity pursuant to section 1245.235 of the Code of Civil
Procedure of the.State of california, which resolution shall
specifically refer to Section 1240.410 of the Code of Civil
Procedure with regard to property proposed to be acquired as
•reanants• within the aeanin9 of that Section.
2. Said notice sball give each person, whose property is
proposed to be acquired by eainent domain and whose name and address
appears on the last equalized county assessaent roll, notice and a
reaaoaable opportunity to appear and be beard on the 11att~rs
referred to in Sec:ition 1240.030 of said Code of ·ctvil P~ocedure by
sending a notice by f.ir&t class llllil to each such Person and to all
other holders of liens,-leaaebolds, or other interests in said
property~ at their resPective addressea as they appear on said last
equali•ed county aaaeaaaent roll or as known to the Clerk.

3. Said notices ehall be aailed no later than Friday, the
14th day ot october, 1977.
4. ROTICB IS HEREBY GIVBN that in the event that a written
request or requests to appear and be heard are filed with the City
Clerk within fifteen (15) days after the aailing of satd notice,_a
bearing will be held on JIOftday, the 7th day of Rovellber, 1977, at
which all persons described in section 2 wbo filed such written
