RESOLVED, b~l the Council of the City of Palo Al to, California
WHEREAS, this Council ordered tht Department of Public Works
under Division 4 of the Streets and Highways C-~..:_c-to prepare a :·
r~port for the acquisitions and improvements in ~~d ~ity, describea
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference;
Wi:iEREAS, said report has been completed and presented to this
Council, and this Council has examined said report:
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That said report is hereby preliminarily approved and
ordered filed with the City Cle-rk, who shall endorse thereon the
fact and date of this approval. ,~f>·
2. That Monday, the 7th day of November , 1977, at the
hour of 7:30 otclock P.M., in the Council Chainbers, Civic Center,
250 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto, California, are hereby fixed as the
time and place for _hearing upon said report.
3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of the
hearing on said_repoit in the form provided by law, by mailin~
copies of said notice at least thirty days prior to the date-of·
the hearing, postage prepaid, to each person to whom land in the
proposeg assessment district is assessed on the last equalized
assessment roll of said City, at his address as shown upon such
rqll, and to each person whether owner in fee or having a lien upon
or legal or equity interest in any land within the proposed district,
whose name and address and designation of the lands in which he is
interested is on file in the office of the City Clerk.-

DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED ACQUISITIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS
WILL-OW ROAD PROJECT NO. 74-65
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT

a) The widening and improving of Sand Hill Road from
Santa Cruz Avenue to its northeasterly terminus, and
Willow Road from said tenuinus of Sand-Hill Road
northeasterly to Arboretum Road. by grading and the
construction therein of a four-lane road section,
64-feet wide, located within a 90-foot right of way,
with a landscaped median strip, and by constructing
therein base pavement, wearing surface, curbs, gutters,
storm drainage facilities, street lighting facilities
and landscaping improvements, with bicycle paths
between the edge of curb and the right of way line,
together with such additional acquis.i.tions and improve-
ments as may be necessary to mitigate any environ-
mental impacts caused by the project. ·
b) The widening and improving of Willow Road from
Arboretum Road northeasterly to El Camino Beal
generally along the alignment identified as Align-
ment I as shown on the plat on file in the office of
the City Clerk, by grading and.the construction
therein of base pavement, wearing surface, drainage
faciiities as required, street lighting facilities,
landscaping improvements, together with such addi-
tional acquisitions and improvements as may be
necessary to mitigate any environmental impacts
caused by the project.
c) The acquisition of all lands, easements, facilities
and rights and the construction of all work auxiliary
to any of the above and necessary to complete the same.
