RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF P.w(i)RIGINAL
COMMENDING THE OUTSTANDING_ SERVICE OF
COUNCILMEMBER STANLEY R. NOKTON
WHEllEAS, Stanley R. Norton served the City of Palo Alto as Councilmember
from 19~9 co 1977; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Norton served as Mayor of Palo Alto from
1975 to 1977; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Norton served as Chairman of the Finance and Public
Works Committee from 1972 to 1973; and
'WHEREAS, Council.member Norton has given unselfishly of his time and
talents to provide effective leadership on behalf of the total community; and
WHEREAS, through the efforts and contributions of Council.member Norton,
the City continued to occupy a position of eminence in terms of the quality
of service provided to its citizens; aad
WHEREAS, The City of Palo Alto desires to recognize the meritorious
service-of"-Stanley R. Norton.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Palo
_\lto hereby commends the outstanding public service of Stanl.ey R. Norton
and records its appreciation as well as the appreciation of the citizens
of this COll!lllUllity for the servic~ and contribution rendered during his term
on the Council..
