RESOLUTION-OF"m.E COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
COMMENDING THE OtrrS'tANDING SERVICE OF
COUNCILMEMBER KIRKE W. COMSTOCK
ORIGINAL
WHEREAS• Kirke W. Comstock served the City of Palo Alto as Councilmember
from 1963 to 1977; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Comstock served as Mayor of Palo Alto from
1971 to 1974; and
WHEREAS, CouncilmeJllber Comstock served as Chairman of the Policy and
Procedures Committee from 1965 to 1966; and
WHEREAS, Councillllember Comstock has given unselfishly of his time and
talents to provide effective leadership on behalf of the total community; and
WHEREAS, through the efforts and contributions of Council.member Comstock,
the City continued to occupy a position of eminence in terms of the qual.ity
of service provided to its citizens; and
WHEREAS, The City of Palo Alto desires to recognize the meritorious
service of Kirke W. Comstock.
NOW, THEREFORE, 8E IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Palo
Alto hereby commends the outatauding public service of Kirke W. Comstock
and recoTds its appreciation as well as the appreciation of the citizens
of this COl8Unity for ~he service and contribution rendered during his term
on the Couucil.
