COMPtENDING THE OUTSTA.""IDTNG SERVICE OF
COUNCtL."lEKBER JOHN .J, BERWALD
WHEREAS, John J. Berwald serv£d the City of Palo Alto as Councilmember
frOilJ. 1967 to 1977; and
WHEREAS, CouncilJnelllber Berwald served as Chairman of the Finance and
Public Works Committee from 1975 to 1977; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Berwald has given unselfishly of his time and
talents to provide effective leadership on behalf of the total community;
and
WBERKAS, through the efforts and-contributions of Council.member Berwald,
the City continued to occupy a position of eminence in terms of the quality
of service provided to its citizens; and
WHEREAS, The c.ay of Palo Alto desires to recognize the meritorious
service of John J. Berwald.
NOW, THEREFORE, 3E IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Palo
Alto hereby commends the. outstanding public service. of John J. Be-rwald
and records its appreciation as well as the appreciation of the citizens
of this community for the service and contribution rende~ed. during his term.
on the Council.
