RESOLUTION OF THE COUWCIL OF THE ClTY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING THE TENTATIVE SUBDIVISION MAP FOR PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 68l"ARASTIW>ERO ROAD.IN THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AND GRANTING EXCEPTIONS SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS
WHEP..F.AS, 1.73 acres of property zoned R-l-B-10 and located at 681
Arastradero Road in the City of Palo.Alto, identified as Assessor's Par-
cel No. 167-05-019, hereinafter-referred to as the "subject property" is
proposed to be divided into six (6) lots; and
WHEREAS, lots 2 and 5 on a curved cul-de-sac are requi~ed by Section
21.20.llC of the Palo Alto Municipal Code to have an average depth of 100
feet and fail to have this depth, requiring an exception from said require-
ment;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as
follows:
SECTION l. The City Council finds that tJ:>.~e are special coriditions
affecting lots 2 and 5 due to the configuration of the land at the bulb end
of the cul-de-sac street, and that the exceptions granted herein are necessary
for the preservation and enjoyment of a substantial property right of the
petitioner, and that the exceptions granted herein will nqt be detrimental to
the public welfare or injurious to ottier property in the terTitory in which
this property is situated. · ·
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby approves the tentattve subdivision
map for the subject property, as shown on the map attached hereto and incorpor-
ated herein by reference, and grants ~he exceptions to the requirements of
Section 21.20.110 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code, subject to the following
cc;.nditions:
1. The owneL shall execute a grant deed in favor of the City oi Palo
Alto for fee title for the proposed cul-de-sac, prior to
approval of the final map.
2. 'llte naming of tne new street to be created by the subdivision
shall be referred to the Finance and Public Wor~ Col1111littee
of the Council.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby finds that.the proposed pr°"""
jeet.will not have significant impact on the ·environment.
