Home My WebLink AboutRESO 5332RESOLUTION NO. 5332 RESOLU~ION OF Tl!S COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO ADOPTING'A COMPENSATION PLAN FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL, EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 19, 1976 The Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follows: SECTION l. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Compensation Plan, as set forth in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference, is adopted for Fire Department personnel for the balance of fiscal year 1976-1977 (effective December 19, 1976), all of fiscal year 1977-1970, and a portion of fiscal year 1978-1979 (ending December 31, 1979). SECTION 2. The Compensation Plan adopted herein shall be ad- ministered by the City Manager in accordance with the Merit System RuJ.es and Regulations. SECTION 3. The compensation Plan shall become effective December 19, 1976, and shall continue in effect until December 31, 1979, or until amended or revoked by the Council. SEC'l'I:ON 4. 'l'he ~ity Controller is authorized' to implement the Compensation Plan adopted herein in his preparation of forth- coming payrolls and to make any necessary retroactive adjustments to employees' pay to reflect the effective date of December 19, .. 1976. Be is furt.~er authorized to make chaµges to the titles of employee classifications identified in the Table of Authorized Personnel contained in the affected budgets if such titles have been changed by the compensation Plan. SECTION s .. The Council of the City of Palo Alto hereby finds that the enactment of this resolution i~ not a Aproject• within ·-· the.meaning of that term as defined in Section-11.04.130 of the Palo Alto M~icipal Code and, therefore, no environmental assessment is necessary. -1- .f \ ' i .... .. • SBCTlOK &.
