RESOLUTION NO. 5329
A RESOLUTION OVEIUWLING PROTESTS ON RESOLUTION
OF IN'l'BNTION NO. 5242
UNIVERSITY AVENUE AREA OPFSTREET PARRING ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
PROJECT NO. 75-63
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City· of Palo Alto, California,
that
WHEREAS, this Council did on August 9, 1976, adopt its
Resolution of Intention No •. 5242 to acquire and construct public
improvements in and for said City;
WHEREAS, on December 13, 1976, this council adopted a reso-
lution appointing time and place of hearing protests in relation
to the proposed acquisitions and improvements and directing notiee1
WHEREAS, notice was given of the time and place therein
stated in the manner provided by law, as appears from the affidavits
and certificates on file in the office of the City Clerk;
WHEREAS, said matter came on regularly for hearing at the
tilne therein fixed; and
WHEREAS, all written protests and other llrTi tten communica-
tions were publicly read at said meeting and all persons des.iri.nq
to be hea_rd were fully heard;
NOW, THEREPORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
l~ That protests against said acquisitions and improvements
were not signed bytbe owners of a majority or more of the area
of the lands within the aaseailment district, .or of the area of the
~ands within the assessment district assessed for the costs and
expenses of said acquisitions and improvements.
2. That said protests be, and each-of thepi are hereby,
overrul~.
