RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL ELECTION HELD ON SEPTEMBER 13, 1966 IN THE CITY OF PALO ALTO WHEREAS, on the 16th day of May, 1966, the Council of the City of Palo Alto, County of Santa Clara, State of California, by Resolution No. 3891 duly passed and published, did call a special election to be held in said City on the 13th day of September, 1966, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of said City the following questions of policy, to wit: CIVIC CENTER LOCATION (a) Shall a combined high-rise City Hall -Public Safety complex be constructed at the Downtown Library Site in the block bounded by Hamilton, Ramona, Forest and Bryant? (b) Shall the present City Hall at 1313 Newell Road be improved and expanded in a style similar to existing facilities, and shall the Public Safety Building be located in the vicinity of the North County Courthouse? and WHEREAS, due and legal notice of said special election was given as required by law and by said Resolution; and WHEREAS, on the 13th day of September, 1966, at the hour of 7:00 o'clock in the morning of said day the polls were duly and regularly opened for said special election in said City and said polls were continuously kept open for said purpose from the time they were so opened until 7:00 o'clock of the after- noon of said day and during said hours of said 13th day of September, 1966, a special election was held in said City of Palo Alto on said measure and in accordance with said reso- lution; and - 1 - • WHEREAS, said special election was regularly and duly canvassed by said City Council on September 26, 1966, at its regular meeting held on said date. NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follows: SECTION 1. That a special election was duly and regularly called and held in all things according to Resolution No. 3891 of said City of Palo Alto duly adopted for the objects and purposes therein specified and according to the laws of the State of California. SECTION 2. That the number of votes cast in each precinct and the total number of votes cast in the City for each measure, including votes cast on absentee ballots was as follows: PRECINCT NO.
