RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ORDERING THE DESTRUCTION OF DELINQUENT TAX ROLLS
MORE THAN TWELVE YEARS OLD AND ORIGINAL SECURED
ROLLS ON WHICH THEY ARE BASED
WHEREAS, the Controller of the City of Palo Alto and his
counterpart in the Town of Mayfield have annually since fiscal
year 1894-1895 prepared an abstract list of unpaid items from
the delinquent tax rolls, and
WHEREAS, the Controller of the City of Palo Alto has certi-
fied to the Council that the abstract lists for fiscal year 1952-
1953 and all years prior thereto, for both the City of Palo Alto
and the Town of Mayfield, are correct and complete, and
WHEREAS, section 4377 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of
the State of California authorizes the Council to approve the
destruction of any delinquent tax roll and the original secured
roll on which it is based, where both are more than twelve (12)
years old and where the Controller has certified to the correct-
nexx and completeness of the abstract list,
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. The delinquent tax roll and the original secured
roll on which it is based for each of the several fiscal year3
listed on the certification of the Controller of the City of
Palo Alto dated July 1, 1966, attached hereto as EXHIBIT A and
made a part hereof, are hereby approved for destruction; provided
that in no event shall the original secured roll for the year
1912 (fiscal year 1912-1913) be deemed approved for destruction.
SECTION 2. Each of the delinquent tax rolls and original
secured rolls approved for destruction in Section 1 of this
resolution are hereby ordered to be destroyed by the Records

The undersigned, being Controller of the City of Palo Alto,
certifies that the record of delinquent taxes which has been
abstracted from the above tax rolls scheduled for destruction
is correct and complete.
