RESOLUTION NO. 4049
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ORDERING WEED NUISANCE ABATED
WHEREAS, this Council did on November 13, 1967, adopt
its Resolution No. 4047, declaring weeds to be a nuisance and
setting November 27, 1967 at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall as the
time and place for a hearing of objections to the proposed
destruction or removal of weeds; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with said Resolution No. 4047
notice of such hearing was given in the manner provided by
law, as appears from the affidavits on file in the Office of
the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, said matter came on regularly for hearing at
the time therein fixed; and
WHEREAS, no persons interested appeared or filed
written protest against said proceedings or any part thereof
and all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity
to be heard, and all matters and things pertaining to said
weed abatement were fully heard and considered by this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto
does RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. That protest against said weed abatement be,
and each of them .is hereby overruled.
SECTION 2. That the Superintendent of Public Works
(City Engineer) is hereby ordered to abate such nuisance or

cause the same to be abated as provided in Chapter 8.08 of
the Palo Alto Municipal Code and to do all other things
necessary and authorized in said Chapter.
