HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESO 4040f ORIGINAL RESOLUTION N0. 4040 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO DECLARING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY SURPLUS TO THE NEEDS OF THE CITY AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SELL AND DISPOSE THEREOF The Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as fol- lows: SECTION 1. That the following described property, a house and lot commonly referred to as 3188 Ross Road, Palo Alto, California, is hereby declared surplus to the needs of the City: All that certain parcel of land situate in the City of Palo Alto, County of Santa Clara, State of California, described as follows: A PORTION OF LOT 78, as said Lot is shown on that certain Map entitled, "Map of C. M. Wooster Company's Subdivision of the Clarke Ranch", which Map was filed for record in the office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of California on November 11, 1912 in Book "0" of Maps, at page 16, and more particularly des- cribed as follows: BEGINNING at the most Northerly corner of that certain parcel of land described in the Deed from George Sato, et ux, to Eno Biolsi, et ux, dated March 22, 1963 in Book 5956 of Official Records, page 278, Santa Clara County Records, on the Southwesterly line of Ross Road 60.00 feet in width; thence from said point of beginning and along the North- westerly line of said land deeded to Eno Biolsi, et ux, S. 380 W., 110.00 feet to the most Westerly corner thereof on the Northeasterly line of that certain parcel of land described in the Deed from George Sato, to Gerald H. Hamada, et ux, dated December 4, 1964, recorded December 23, 1964 in Book 6789 of Official Records, page 683, Santa Clara County Records; thence along the Northeasterly line of said land - deeded to Gerald H. Hamada, et ux, N. 52° W., 60.00 feet to the most Northerly corner thereof; thence along the prolonga- tion of the Northwesterly line of said land deeded to Gerald H. Hamada, et ux, N. 38' E., 110.00 feet to a point on the Southwesterly line of said Ross Road; thence along the Southwesterly line of said Rocs Road, S. 52• E., 60.00 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to offer said property for sale to the highest bidder. SECTION 3. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute • a grant deed on behalf of the City conveying said property to the successful bidder.
