RESOLUTION NO. 4035
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
CONFIRMING THE ENGINEER'S REPORT AND ASSESSMENT
LIST FOR WEED ABATEMENT
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Public Works (City Engi-
neer) has filed with the City Clerk his consolidated report
and assessment list for weed abatement for the fiscal years
1965.1966 and 1966-1967 as provided in Chapter 8.08 of the
Palo Alto Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, a hearing was called for September 25, 1967,
for hearing any objections to said report and assessment list;
and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has published and posted said
report and assessment list and a notice of said hearing, as
provided in said chapter; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said notice a public hearing was
held on September 25, 1967.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto
hereby resolves, finds and determines as follows:
1. That said assessment list is in all respects com-
plete and correct and is hereby confirmed, and that since the
filing thereof, no assessments have been paid.
2. That for a particular description of the lots bear-
ing the respective assessment numbers set forth in said as-
sessment list and upon which assessments remain unpaid,
severally and respectively, reference is hereby made to the
assessment list attached hereto and made a part hereof.
3. That the unpaid assessments, as shown on said list
and determined by said Council, shall constitute a special
assessment against such respective lots or parcels of land
shown therein and shall constitute a lien against such property

for the amount of such assessments until paid. The Assessor
shall extend and enter the amounts of such assessments against
the respective parcels of land upon the 1967-1968 tax roll,
upon which general municipal taxes are to be collected, and
they shall be payable with the first installment of said taxes
and the City Treasurer shall include the same on the bills for
such taxes. Thereafter, such amounts shall be collected at
the same time and in the same manner as general city taxes are
collected and shall be subject to the same interest and penal-
ties and the same procedure and sale in case of delinquency.
All laws and ordinances applicable to the levy, collection
and enforcement of city taxes are hereby made applicable to
such special assessments.
