HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESO 4013WJML : KIJ : mf 9/5./67 35C ORIGINAL RESOLUTION NO. 4013 A RESOLUTION PRELIMINARILY APPROVING ENGINEER'S REPORT, AND FIXING TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING THEREON, UNDER DIVISION 4 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE CALIFORNIA AVENUE AREA PARKING PROJECT NO. 65-9 RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, California, that WHEREAS, this Council ordered the City Engineer, under Divi- sion 4 of the Streets and Highways Code to prepare a report for the following acquisitions and improvements in said City, to wit: a) The construction of a multi -story off-street motor vehicle parking garage on the existing parking lot of the California Avenue Area Parking District bounded southwesterly, southeasterly and north- easterly by alleys and northwesterly by Cambridge Avenue. b) The acquisition of the southwesterly 121.37 feet of the southeasterly 130 feet of the block bounded by California Avenue, Birch Street, Sherman Avenue and Ash Street, and the improving thereof as an off- street motor vehicle parking lot and of existing public ways to be used for ingress thereto and egress therefrom, by grading and the construction therein of base pavement, wearing surface, curbs, gutters, drainage facilities, lighting facilities, stripping, landscaping, and all auxiliary work necessary to complete the same as off-street automobile parking facilities. c) The acquisition of all lands, easements and facili- ties and the construction of all work auxiliary to any of the above and necessary to complete the same. WHEREAS, said report has been completed and presented to this Council, and this Council has examined said report; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows: 1. That said report is hereby preliminarily approved and ordered filed with the City Clerk, who shall endorse thereon the fact and date of this approval. 2. That Monday, the 21st day of August, 1967, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Palo Alto, California, are hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing upon said report. • • 3. The Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of the hear- ing on said report in the form provided by law, by mailing copies of said notice at least thirty days prior to the date of the hear- ing, postage prepaid, to each person to whom land in the proposed assessment district is assessed on the last equalized assessment roll of said City, at his address as shown upon such roll, and to each person whether owner in fee or having a lien upon or legal or equity interest in any land within the proposed district, whose name and address and a designation of the lands in which he is interested is on file in the office of the City Clerk. * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and correct copy of a resolution duly passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, California, at a meeting thereof held on the 17th day of July following vote of the members thereof: AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen: Arnold, Beahrs, Berwald, Clark, Comstock, Dias, Gallather, Pearson, Spaeth, Wheatley NOES, Councilmen: None ABSENT, Councilmen: Cool APPROVED• yor , 1967, by the e k of the City of Palo FAO 2
