RES OLUTION NO. 4001
A RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION AND OF
INTENTION TO MAKE CHANGES AND MODIFICATIONS
EL CAMINO REAL VVIDENING PROJECT 64-1
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, California, that the
public interest, convenience and necessity require, and that it is the intention of
said Council to change and modify Section 12 of Resolution No. 3760 of Preliminary
Determination and of Intention, adopted by said Council on August 10, 1964, to
read as follows, to -wit:
"12. Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent unpaid
assessments, and bear interest at the rate of not to exceed six per cent (6%) per
annum, will be issued hereunder in the manner provided in the Improvement Bond
Act of 1915 (Division 10 of the Streets and Highways Code), the last installment
of which bonds shall mature not to exceed fourteen (14) years from the second day
of July next succeeding ten months from their date. The provisions of Part 11 . 1
of said Act, providing an alternative procedure for the advance payment of assess-
ments and the calling of bonds, shall apply."
Notice is hereby given that Monday, the 5th day of June, 1967, at the hour
of 7:30 o"clock P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Palo Alto, California,
are hereby fixed as the time and place when and where said Council will consider
the matter of ma::ing said changes and modifications and whether or not the public
interest, convenience and necessity require such changes and modifications, and
hearing all persons interested therein.
The Clerk of said City shall cause a copy of this resolution to be published
once in the Palo Alto Times, a newspaper of general circulation published in said
City and the newspaper in which the Notice of Improvement under said Resolution
of Preliminary Determination and of Intention is to be published; to cause a copy
thereof to be posted on or near the Council Chamber door; and to cause a copy
thereof to be mailed to the owner whose name appeared on the last equalized
assessment roll as owner of real property within said district, or as known to the
Clerk, and to every owner of property assessed by the State under Section 14,
Article XIII of the State Constitution included within said district, at the address
thereof shown on the last Board roll transmitted to the Auditor. Said publication,
posting and mailing shall be completed at least ten days before the date of hearing.
