RESOLUTION NO. 3994
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A PETITION FOR PERMISSION
TO ACCUMULATE APPORTIONED FUNDS UNDER AUTHORITY OF
STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE SECTION 186.6
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as
follows:
SECTION 1. That the City of Palo Alto file with the
Department of Public Works of the State of California a petition
for permission to accumulate funds apportioned pursuant to the
provisions of Streets and Highyays Code sections 186.1 et seq.,
and that the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute and deliver such petition. A copy of the
petition is attached hereto and made a part hereof.

PETITION FOR ACCUMULATION OF SECTION 186.1 FUNDS
The City of Palo Alto
pursuant to Section 186.6 of the Streets
and Highways Code providing for accumulation and expenditure of State Highway Punda apportioned under
Section 186.1 for construction and rightrof-wey costs in respect to Select System city streets does hereby
submit this petition for the accumhulation of $ 490, 000 apportioned and to be apportioned
1964-65,6k_5646 and
during the fiscal years. All work to be accomplished with these fiords shall be
done pursuant to statutory requirements and as described below. These !Finds are to be expended prior to
June 30, 1970

The specific project is located as El Camino Real (State Route $Z)
and extends front 0 1 Miles N. W. of Mataderd Creek a of street)
to Southeasterly City Limits
A detailed description of the proposed project is included on the attached "Specific -Plan” Project Sheet.
In conformance with Section 186.6 regarding a specific plan for accumulation of required matching
hinds, the proposed financing of the project including the planned conformance with matching requirements
is outlined under "PROPOSED FUNDING."
