That the City of Palo Alto file with the Department of Public Works of the State of California a petition for permission to accumulate funds apportioned pursuant to the provisions of Streets and Highyays Code sections 186.1 et seq., and that the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver such petition. A copy of the petition is attached hereto and made a part hereof. All work to be accomplished with these fiords shall be done pursuant to statutory requirements and as described below.
