RESOLUTION NO. 3989
RESOLUTION OP THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ORDERING THE VACATION OF A CERTAIN PUBLIC UTILITIES
EASEMENT IN LOT 11, BLOCK 1, TRACT 1423
WHEREAS, it is the intention of'the Council'of the City of
Palo Alto to vacate a certain public utilities easement in the
City of Palo Alto, County of Santa Clara, State of California, as
described in EXHIBIT A attached hereto and shown on a map marked
EXHIBIT B attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does hereby
find that the aforesaid easement.has not been used for the purpose
for which it was dedicated or acquired for five consecutive years
next preceding the date of this resolutions and
WHEREAS, from all the evidence submitted to the Council of
the:City of Palo Alto it is found that said easement as described
herein is unnecessary for present or prospective public utilities
and drainage purposes,
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the provisions of section 50443
of the Government Code of the State. of California, the Council
of the City of.Palo Alto doss.hereby order that said easement as
described herein be, and hereby is vacated.
aqua 2. The City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the office of the County
.Recorder of Santa Clara County.

DESCRIPTION OF AN EASEMENT IN LOT 11, BLOCK 1, TRACT 1423,
TO BE ABANDONED BY THE CITY OP PALO ALTO
BEGINNING at a point on the southeasterly line of Lot 11,
Block 1, Tract No. 1423, a map of which was recorded March 15,
1955 in Book 55 of Maps at page 9, records of Santa Clara County,
California; distant thereon 10.00 feet southwesterly from the
point of intersection thereof with the northeasterly line of
said Lot; thence southwesterly along said southeasterly line
40.00 feet; thence northwesterly, at right angles, 10.00 feet;
thence northeasterly, parallel to said southeasterly line
60.00 feet. to a point on the southwesterly line of a 10 foot
wide public utilities easement shown on said Map; thence south-
easterly along the. southeasterly prolongation of said south-
werterly line 10.00 feet, to the point of beginning, being a .
portion of that public utilities easement which parallels the
southeasterly line of said Lot 11.
