A RESOLUTION PRELIMINARILY APPROVING ENGINEER'S REPORT4
AND FIRING TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING THEREON, UNDER
DIVISION 4 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE
EL CAMINO REAL PROJECT NO. 64-1
RESOLVED, by _the Council of the City of Palo Alto, California,
that
WHEREAS, this Council ordered the City Engineer, under Division
4 of the Streets and Highways Code to prepare a report for the follow-
ing acquisitions and improvements in said City, to wit:
a) The acquisition of easements necessary to obtain a uniform
right-of-way width of 120 feet, including the acquisition
of strips of land in excess of the land actually needed for
street purposes lying outsid6 of the proposed 120 -foot
right-of-way and necessary to be acquired in order to avoid
severance damage, for the purpose of providing on -street
parking areas for local use and benefit along E1 Camino Real
from Matadero Creek to the southerly City limits of the.City
of Palo Alto, and the improving thereof by grading, removing
trees, bushes and existing structures, cons-tructing or recon-
structing Portland cement concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks
and driveway aprons, constructing base pavement and wearing
surface, the installation of street lighting facilities,
storm drain"pipe, catch basins, inlet structures and appur-
tenances, together with the acquisition of all easements and
the construction of all improvements auxiliary to any of the
above and necessary to complete the same.
WHEREAS, said report has been completed and presented to this
Council, and this Council has examined said report;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That said report is hereby preliminarily approved and ordered
filed:with the City Clerk, who. shall endorse thereon the fact and date
of this approval.
2. That Monday, the d day of May, 1967, at the hour of 7:30
o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Palo Altos California,
are hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing upon said report.
3:. The Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of the hearing
on said report in the form provided by law, by mailing copies of said
notice at least thirty days prior to the dateofthe hearing, postage

prepaid, to each person to whom land in the proposed assessment
district is assessed on the last equalized assessment roll of said
City, at his address as shown upon such roll, and to each person
whether owner in fee or having a lien upon or legal or equity inter-
est in any land within the proposed district, whose name and address
and a designation of the lands in which he is interested is on file
in the office of the City Clerk.

1 hereby certify that'the foregoing is a full, true and correct
copy of a resolution duly passed and adopted by the Council of the
City Of Palo Alto, California, at a meeting thereof held on the 3rd
day of April , 1967, by the following vote of the members
thereof:
