A RESOLUTION DIRECTING PREPARATION OF INVESTIGATION REPORT
UNDER DIVISION 4 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE

RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Palo Alto, California,
that the City Engineer, a competent person for this purpose, is hereby
directed to proceed and prepare such information as may be required
therefor, to make a report in the form set forth in Division 4 of the
Streets and Highways Code, for the following acquisitions and improve-
ments, to wit:
a) The acquisition of easements necessary to obtain a uniform
right-of-way width of 120 feet, including the acquisition
of strips of land in excess of the land actually needed for
street purposes lying outside of the proposed 120 -foot
right-of-way and necessary to be acquired in order to avoid
severance damage, for the purpose of providing on -street
parking areas for local use and benefit along El Camino Real
from Matadero Creek to the southerly City limits of the City
of Palo Alto, and the improving thereof by grading, removing
trees, bushes and existing structures,constructing or recon-
-structing Portland cement concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks
and driveway aprons, constructing base pavement and wearing
surface, the installation of street lighting facilities,
storm drain pipe,, catch basins, inlet structures and appur-
tenances, together with the acquisition of all easements and
the construction of all improvements auxiliary to any of tte
above and necessary, to complete the same.
All as more particulars described in Resolution No. 3760 of
Preliminary Determination -.adopted by this Council on August 10
1967, to which resolution reference is hereby made for a particular
description of the general nature, location and extent of the proposed
acquisitions and improvements, of'the boundaries or extent of the
district or laude to be specially assessed to pay all the costs there-
of, and of the Statutes under which the proceedings therefor are pro-
posed to be conducted.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and
correct copy of a resolution duly passed and adopted by the
Council of the City of Palo Alto, California, at a meeting
thereof held on the 3rd day of April , 196 7 , by
the following vote of the members thereof:
AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen: Arnold, Beahrs,
Comstock, Cooley, Debs, Dias, Flint, Pearson, Rohrs, Rus, Sher,
Worthington
