AND AUTHORIZ.ING AN AMENDMENT TO THE RELATED FUND APPLICATION WHEREAS, on January 27, 1975-, "the Co\lncil.of the City of Palo Alto passed.Resolution No. 5056-adopting a Community Development Plan and Program1 and WHEREAS, the Council desires to amend said Plan to change the areas for use of Community Development Funds1 and WHEREAS~ as required by the United States Department of Housing and Community Development, said proposed amendment has been reviewed by the public· and various interested community organizations at numerous public meetings1 NOW, THEREFOREI the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as follows: SECTION i.· The Council hereby amends the Community Develop- ment Plan and Program. to change the use of Community Development funds for a housing rehabilitation program to include all areas designated as •potentia1·ttehabilitation Areas• and •Existing Rehabilitation Areas" identified on·· the map at page 7 of that certain document entitled •Pale> Alto· Ct>mprehensive Pl84'1--First Draft•1 and to provide that first priority' for first•year funds shall be given to-that area commonly known as the Pepper West Meadow Area and that· second priority for said funds shall be giveri to' that· area CQDl!!iOnly'known as the College Terrace _Area. A copy of saia·communityDevelopment Plan and Progra.m., as so amended~ and a copy of said d:raft··cemprehensive plan are on file with the City· clerk~ the Planning Department, and the Public Works Department of the City of Palo Alto. • • • • SECTION 2. The Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Manager to sign and submit appropriate application forms to amend ther City·' s application to the United States Department of Housing and Community Development for Community Development funds accordingly. SECTION-3~ "The Council finds that this project-will have no significant adverse effect on the environment.
