RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO AL'l'O
NAMING ELECTION OFFICERS, DESIGNATING.PRECINCTSAND
CENTRAL COUNTING PLACE FOR THE SPECIAL. BARRON PA.RI<.
ANNEXATION ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 4, 1975
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOLVE as fol-
SECTioN·-1. For the p1lrpose of holding and conducting a
special annexation-election in the territory.known as Barron
Park on Tuesday, November 4, 1975, the Barron Park area is
hereby districted and subdivided into two consolidated election
precincts, numbers· 1 and 2, inclusive,-as more particularly
hereinafter set forth. Said precincts shall be respectively
composed of the territory included~within· those election pre-
cincts hereinafter specified as the same as may have been con-
s ti tu ted and designated by the County of ·Santa Clara for general,
state and county elections,.as shown on maps on file in the
Department of Registration and Election~·or Santa Clara County,
as of November 1974. The Board of Erections for each municipal
election precinct.shall consist of one,inspector, one judqe and
two clerks.
SECTI0N·2. There is attached· hereto and,incorporated herein
as EXHIBIT A a list furnished by the Registrar of Voters of Santa
Clara County se~ting ·forth th~ polling places. ·,of said election
precincts for said special. annexation election, together with the
persons who shall occupy the respective o-ff~ces that shall com-
prise the .boara or elections. fox each such .precinct.
SEC'l'tmt·3. 'l'lie polls shall be opened at said polling places
at 7:00 otclock ·a.m. of said"dAy of election and shall be kept
open until e:oo· o'clock p.m. of said day., when the poll• shall be
closed (except aa provided in .Section 14436 of the Blectiona Code

of the State of Californ5.a) , and the election officers shall
thereupon seal the ballot box and deliver it to the City Clerk,
250 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto, California 94301, whereupon said
ballots shall be counted in accordance with.Section 17695 of the
Elections Code.
Voters, in .voting, sha11 use only the :official ballot furnished
for said purpose by the City of Palo Alto.
SECTION. 4 ~ The schedule of fee_s ·for the services of the
officers of electioh and the use of polling places for said
special annexation election shall be as follows:
Inspectors $27"
Judges and-Clerks $23
Huuses $20
Schools $ 5
SECTION s. The City Clerk shall cause a copy of EXHIBIT' A
of this resolution to be published once in the San Jose Mercury,
a newspaper of general circulation in the .. County in which the
territory _is situated, as required by Government Code Section
6061 and Section 22834 of the Elections Code.
