HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESO 5149• • ORl~INAL RESOLUTION NO. 5149 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNC!L OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO PROVIDING FOR THE WITHDRAWAL OF THAT CERTAIN UN- INHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS GARDEN TERRACE ANNEXATION NO. 4 FROM THE FREMONT FIRE DISTRICT WHEREAS, Section 139-52 of the California Heal th and Safety Code authorizes the withdrawal of territory from a fire pro- tection district when such territory is annexed to a city;-and WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation Commission has directed that the City of Palo Alto withdraw the territory designated as "Garden Terrace Annexation No. 4" from the Fremont Fire District upon the completion of annexa- tion proceedings; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Palo Alt.o as follows: SECTION 1. That certain uninhabited territory known as· Garden Terrace Annexation No. 4,-described in Exhibit-A, attached hereto and incorporated -herein by this reference, is withdrawn from the Fremont Fire District. Such withdrawal shall be effective on September 22 , 19 .ll_. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall file a copy of this resolution with the governing body of the Fremont Fire District and the Board of Supervisors and County Assessor of the County of Santa Clara. SECTION 3. The Council finds that the passage of this resolution will have no significant environmental impact.
