RESOLUTION NO. 5131
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING ITS APPRECIATION TO THE PALO ALTO LITTLE
LEAGUE FOR ITS CONTRIBUTION TO THE YOUTH OF PALO ALTO
WHEREAS, the Palo Alto Little League has sponsored baseball
programs ever the years for the youth of Palo Alto; and
WHEREAS, in the 1975 Season the Palo Alto Little League
sponsored 60 teams for a total of 875 boys and girls between
the ages of 8 and·12 years;·and·
WHEREAS, this program provided the youth of Palo Alto th~
opportunity to participate in healthy ~ornpetition; and
WHEREAS, over 200 volunteers and many sponsors helped to
make this program possible; and
WHEREAS, we recognize the vital service this program pro-
vides to the total recreation program of the conununity;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. The Council hereby expresses its gratitude to
the Palo Alto L~ttle League and to the volunteers for the time
and effort uns,3lf1shly expended in this worthwhile endeavor.
