RESOLUTION N_O. 5130
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING ITS APPRECIATION AND GRATITUDE TO THE
AMERICAN YOUTH SOCCER ORGANIZATION OF PALO ALTO FOR
ITS CONTRIBUTION TO THE YOUTH OF PALO ALTO
WHEREAS, the American Youth Soccer Organization of Palo Alto
has sponsored soccer programs over the years for the youth of
Palo Alto; and
WHEREAS, in the 1975 Season the American Youth Soccer Organi-
zation sponsored 86 teams for a total of 1300 boys and girls
between the ages of 7 and 18 years; and
WHEREAS, this program provided the youth of Palo Alto the
opportunity to participate in healthy competition; and
WHEREAS, over 400 volunteers and many sponsors helQed to make
this program possible; and
WHEREAS, we recognize the vital service this program provides
to the total recreation program of the community;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. The council hereby expresses its gratitude to
the -American Youth Socce~ Organization of Palo Alto and to the
volunteers for the time and effort unselfishly expended in this
worthwhile endeavor.
