RESOLUTION NO. 5128
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
REQUESTING OTHER PUBLIC AGENCIES IN THE COUNTY OF
SANTA CLARA TO CONSOLIDATE THE BARRON PARK ANNEXA-
TION ELECTION CALLED BY THE CITY OF PALO ALTO WITH
ANY ELECTION OR ELECTIONS WHICH SUCH AGENCIES MAY
HOLD ON NOVEMBER 4, 1975, AFFECTING BARRON PARK
WHEREAS, on April 21, 1975, the Council of the City of
Palo Alto did pass Resolution No. 5084 calling the Barron Park
Annexation Election to be held on November 4, 1975, in that
unincorporated area of the County of Santa Clara commonly known
as Barron Park; ·
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as follows:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of the County of
Santa Clara and any other public agency within the County of
Santa Clara hereby are requested to consolidate the Barron Park
Annexation Election with any other election or elections which
such agencies may hold on November 4, 1975, and to provide
further~ within the territory affected by said order of con-
solidation, that the election precincts, polling places, and
voting booths shall be the same, that there shall be only one
set of election officers in each of said precincts, and that
only one form of ballot shall be used.
SECTION 2. The Board of Supervisors of the County of
Santa Clara hereby is authorized to canvass the returns of
said consolidated elections with respect to the annexation
measure and to certify such canvass of the votes cast to the
Council of the City of Palo Alto.
SECTION 3. The Clerk of the City of Palo Alto hereby is
authorized and directed to certify the adoption of this resolu-
tion and to submit a copy hereof so certified to the Board of
Supervisors of the-County of Santa Clara, to the Registrar of
Voters of the County of Santa Clara, and to the governing body of
any such public agency calling an election on November 4, 1975.
