:RESOLUTION OE' '.L'HE COUNCIL OF 'l'RE CITY OF PALO ALTO
'OECl.AlUNG THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL MUN!CIPAL
ELECTION HEt.D CN MAY 13, 1975
. WHEREAS, on May 13, 1975·, a qeneral municipal election was·
duly held-in the City of Palo Alto pursuant to the provisions
of Section 3 of Article I Ir of the· Charte::: of the City of
Palo Alto for the purpose of electing four cou~cilmembers, each
for a full term of four years expiring June 30, 19791 and
WHEREAS, due and legal notice of said general municipal
election was given as required by law1 and
WHEREAS, on the 13th day cf May, 1975, at the hour of
7:00 o'clock in the morning of said day the polls were duly
and regularly opened·for said general municipal election in
said city and said polls were continuously kept cpen for said
purpose from the time they were so opened until S:OO o'clock·
in the evening of said day; and·
WHEREAS, on May 19, 1975, the· Council of the City of·
Palo Alto met at its usual place of .meeting and did then and
there canvass the returns of said general municipal election
and declare the results thereof:
.NOW, THEREFORE, the Co~cil of the City of Palo Alto does
RESOLVE as· follows:
SECTION :. " The Council finds and declares that:
(a) A general :nunicipal election.was duly and regularly
held on May 13, 1975·, in all things·-according to the Chart6r
of the City o~ Palo Alto, Resolutions No. 5066 and 5079, and
the election laws of the State of California1

(b) The whole number·. of votas·:.castd.D the City at said
general municipal election, including votes cast upon absentee
ballots, was 54738 ; and.
(c) The total nUmber of votes given and cast at said
general municipal election, including votes cast upc,>n absentee
ballots, was as follows for the candidatea· for ~~ty Council;
