A RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT
CALIFORNIA AVENUE AREA OFFSTREET PARKING
PROJECT NO. 71-63
RESOLVED, by the ~ouncil of the City of Palo Alto, California,
WHEREAS, in resp~nse to invitation therefor, sealed proposals or
bids were received by the City Clerk of this City on February 26, 1975,
for the work to be done and the improvements to be made as described
and specified in Resolution of Intention No. 4993 adopted by this
Council on September 10, 1974, to which resolution reference is hereby
made for a description or the work and improvements to be done and the
materials, supplies and equipment to be furnished therefor; and
WHE.1EAS, said proposals or bids were publicly opened, examined
and declared and ~eferred to and considered by this Council a~ its
meeting on March 17, 1975;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That this Council hereby rejects all of said proposals or
bids, excepting that hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards the con-
tract for doing the work and improvements and furnishing the materials,
supplies and equipment necessary therefor, to the lowest responsible

at the unit pr~ces named in said bid.
2. That the Mayor of this City is hereby authorized to make
and enter into a written contract with said successful bidder, and to
receive and approve all bonds in connection therewith, and the City
Clerk is hereby directed to attest his signature and affix thereto
the official seal of this City.
3. That the C~ty Clerk shall, within five days of the adoption
of this resolution, transmit a copy to the Department of Industrial
Relations -Division of Apprenticeship Standards, 455 Golden Gate
Avenue, San Francisco, California 94102. Should a finding of any

discrepancy regarding the ratio of apprentices to journeymen be made,
the Clerk shall notify the Division of Apprenticeship Standards of
such findings.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and correc~
copy of a resolution duly passed and adopted by the Council of the
City of Palo Alto, California, at a meeting thereof held on the 17th
day of March, 1975, by the following vote of the members thereof:
