HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESO 5048RESOLUTION .NO . 504& RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO AMENDING RESOLUTION 4628, AS AMENDED, ADOPTING A COMPENSATION PLAN tOR FIRE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL WHE.lU:AS, pursuant to Section 12 of Article Ill ~f the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the City Council of the City of Palo Alto did on July 24, 1972 adopt Ree~lution No. 4628 (amended by Resolution No 4826 on September 24, 1973 and Resolution No. 4956 on June 25. 1974) adopting a Compensation Plan for Fire Department Personnel (effective June 26, 1972) fn; the fiJcal years 1972-1973i 1973-1974 and ending January l, 1975; and WHEREAS, on August 19, 1974, a separate Memorandum of Under- s~anding was executed between the City of Palo Alto and Local 1319, IAFF concerning conditions and salaries applicable to the paramedic: program; NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does RESOL\'E as follows: ~ -~ ' .. SECTION 1. .The the Compensation Plan, as set forth in EXHlBlT A, attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference is hereby adopted for Fire Departm~nt Personnel which includes therein the addition in Section 2. entitled, "Special COD"pensation" of Paragraph E. Paramedic Pay Differential and the Salary Range Table is amended by the addition of Paramedic Shift designations. · . SECTION 2. That the Compensation Plan adopted herein shall be administered by the City Manager in accord.:?nce with the Merit System Rules and ~egulations. . . SECTION 3. · Th.at the City Controller is h~reby authorized to implement the Compensation Plan adopted herein in his preparation of forthcoming payrolis to reflect retroactive ::pay to the date of the actual program start-up. SECTION 4. That Re~olution 4628. as amended by Resolutions 4826 and 4956, ls hereby amended as set forth in Section 1 through 3 above and in all other respects shall remain in full force and effect as originally a:Jopted. SPECIAL COMPENSATION Personnel coverei by this compensation plan, in addition to the salary set forth in Section 1 above, may receive special compensation as follows.
