RESOLUTION NO. 4r!61 OF PRELIMINARY
DETERMINATION' AND OF INTENTION

UNDERGROUND UTILITIES ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 17
RESOLVED, by the Counctl of the City of Palo Alto, California,
WHEREAS, this Council did on July 1, 1974, adopt its
Resolution No. qg61 of Preliminary Determination and of Intention
to acquire and construct public improvements in and for said City;
WHEREAS, on July 22, 197~, this Council adopted a resolution
appointing time and place of hearing protests in relation to the
proposed acquisitions and improvements and directing notice;
WHEREAS, notice was given of the time and place therein
stated in the manner provided by law, as appears from the affidavits
on file in the office of the City Clerk;
WHEREAS, said matter came on regularly for hearing at the time
therein f i.Xed; and
-WHEREAS, all written protests and other written communications
were publicly read at said meeting and all persons desiring to be
heard were fu11y heard;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That protests against s~ld acquisitions and improvements
were not signed by the owners of a majority or more of the area of
the lands within the assessment district, or of the area of the
lands within the assessment district assessed for the costs and
expenses of said acquisitions and improvements.
2. That said protests be, and ea.ch of them are hereby,
overruled • -

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and cor-
rect copy of a resolution duly passed and adopted by the Council
of the City of Palo Alto, California, at a meeting thereof held

of the members thereof:
