That the Compensation Plan; as set forth in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference, is hereby adopted for Classified and Casual Personnel providing for an 8.2% cost-of-living increase effective June 23, 1974. SECTION 2. That the Compensation Plan is modified as follows~ The following classifications are added to accommodate new positions in the budget· Detartment to ice (Animal Shelter) Utilities Utilities Utilities Public Works Budget & Staff Svcs Controller Ti tie Clinic Assistant Overnight Parking Monitor Utility Traine~ Deslgn"Tech.--Elec. Public Works Trainee Bldg. Svcsman (PEP) Key Punch Cper. -~Chief Salary $655 . $761 . $679 - $991 . $626 - $730 $723 - $ 8 0 $ 952 $ 759 $1239 $ 700 $ 912 $ 903 The following classifications are deleted as part of the budget process or positions were not funded in these classifications for the 1974·1975 fiscal year: Designer/Draftsman; Electrical Utilities Draftsman; Park Maintenance Helper (PEP); Parking Meter Collector/Serviceman; Planning Aide (PEP); Police Services Aide (PEP); Project Engineer; and Typist Clerk (PEP). The following classification is retitled: Water Quality Control Shift Specialist to Chief Operator, Water Quality Contol. The following classification is reevaluated and retitled: Junior Zoo Attendant to Junior Museum/Zoo Attendant, with a salary range of $768 -$960. Pages six and seven of the Classified and Casual Compensation Plan are amended to add the definition of "casual" and "special" appointments and to adjust the salary ranges to reflect the legal wage minimum of $2 per hour mandated by the Fair Labor Standards Act. 1 - • • • SECTION 3. That the Comtensation Plan adopted herein shall be administered by the City Managfr in accordance with the Merit System Rules and Regulations. SECTION 4. That the City Controller is hereby authorized to implement the tompensation Plan adopted herein in his preparation of forthcoming payrolls to reflect tile effective date of June 23, 1974~ of the cost-of-living increase. SECTION 5, That Resolution 4813 is hereby amended as set lorth In Sections 1 through 4 above and in all other respects shall remain in full force and effect as originally adopted.
