RESOLUTION NO. 4956 - RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO AMENDING RESOLUTION 4628i AS AMENDED, ADOPTING A COMPENSATION PLAN FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL WHEREAS# pursuant to Section 12 of Article Ill of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto 1 the City Council of the City of Palo Alto did on July 24, 1972 adopt Resolution No. 4628 (amended by Resolution No. 4826 on September 24; 1973) adopting a Compensation Plan for Fire Department Personnel (effective June 26, 1972) for the fiscal years 1972-1973, 1973-1974 and ending January 1, 1975; and WHEREAS. said Compensation Plan provided for a cost-of-living increase effective June 23: 1974 based on the Department of Labor Consumer Price Index which increase will be 8.2%; NOW; THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto doe~ RESOLVE as follows: SECTION l.That the Compensation Pla~, as set forth in EXHIBIT AP attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference, is hereby adopted for Fire Department Personnel providing for an 8.21. cost-of·living increase effective June 23, 1974. SECTION 2. That the Compensation Plan is moqified by the addition In the budget of the Fire Fighter Trainee classification with a salary range of $877-$927. SECTION 3.That the Compensation Plan adopted herein shall be administered by the City Mana6er in accordance with the Merit System Rules and Regulations. SECTION 4. That the City Controller is hereby authorized to impl~ent the Compensation Plan adopted herein in his preparation of forthcoming payrolls to reflect the effective date of June 23, 1974. ot the cost-of-living increase. SECTION 5. That Resolution 4628~ as amended by Resolution 4826, is hereby amended as set forth in Sections 1 through 4 above and in all other respects shall remain in full force and effect as originally adopted. . .
