PROJECT NO. 71-8o

RF.BOLVED, by the ~ouncil or the City ot Palo Alto, California,
WHEREAS, in response to invitation therefor, sealed proposals
or bids were received by the City Clerk of this City on January 23,
1974, for the work to be done and the improvements to be made as
described and specified in Resolution of Intention No. 4812 adopted
by this Council on August 20, 1973, to Which resolution reference
is hereby ma.de ro~ a description of the work and improvements to
be done and the mate~ials, supplies and equipment to be furnished
therefor;
WHEREAS, said proposals or bids were publicly opened, examined
and declared;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. -That said Council hereby rejects all of said proposals or
bids, excepting that hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards the
:.contract for doing the work and improvements and furnishing the
materials, supplies and equipment neceaaary therefor, to the lowest
responsible bidder, to wit:
Power-Anderson. IJic.
at the unit prices named in said bid.
2. That the Mayor of this City is hereby authorized to make
and enter into a written contract with said successful bidder and
to receive &nd approve all bonds in connection therewith, and the
City Clerk is hereby directed to attest his signature and affix
thereto the official seal of this City.
3. The City Clerk shall, within five (5) days of the adoption
of this resolution, transmit a copy to the Department ot Industrial
Relations -Division of Apprenticeship Standards, 455 Golden Gate
Avenue, san·Francisco, California 94102. Should a finding of any

discrepancy regarding the ratio ot apprentices to .1oumymen be
made, the Clerk shall notify the Division ot Apprenticeship Stan-
dards of such findings.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and cor-
rect copy of a resolution duly passed and adopted by the City
Council of the-City of Palo Alto, California, at a meeting thereof
