RESOLUTION or THE COUNCIL OF THB CITY OF PALO ALTO
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER 'l'O SUBMIT A GRANT
APPLICATION TO THE CALIFORNIA COUNCIL ON CRIMINAL
JUSTICE FOR FUNDING OF A PROJECT DESIGNATED .AS
ALTERNA'.l'IV~ POLlCE INVES'l'J;GA'l'ORY PROCEDURES FOR
RAPE ..F.llOM FUNDS MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE OMNIBUS
CRIME CONTROL AND SAFE STREETS ACT OF 1968,
(PL 90-55, AS AMENDED, PL 91-644)
WHEREAS, the Council o.t the City of Palo Alto daairea to
undertake a certain pro~ect designated as Alternativ~ Police Inv.••ti-_____ _
gatory Procedures for Rape to be fundea-·in part from funds made avail•
able through the Olulibus Crillle Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968,
(PL 90-55 1 ~a amended, PL 91-6•4>, administered by the california

NOW, THSRBFOU, BE IT RESOLVED }:)y the counc.il of the City of
Palo Alto that the City Ma~qer is hereby authorized to subnU.t the
attached Application for Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes to th•
California Council on Criminal .Justice for its considera~ion1 and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event the California Council
on Criminal Justice consents "tQ fund the Project, the Coµnc~l of the
City of Palo Alto hereby agrees to effectuate the project aa ou~lin-4
in concept in the attached Grant Application; and
BE IT FURTBBR RESOLVED that in the event the.california council
on Criminal Just.ic• consents to fund the Project, t.he City Managa.c ·
is authorized, on behalf of the City of Palo Alto, to execute the
contract and any amendments thereto for the Grant for Law Enf oreement
Purposes; and

BE IT FURTHER RE$0LVED ~t the applicant hereby agrees to pro-
vide the required matching fu.rµis to said Project; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall
not be used to suppl~t ongoipq law enforcement expenditures.
