The City Council of the City of Palo Alto met on this date in the Council
Chambers at 7:07 p.m.
PRESENT: Andersen, Eakins, Fazzino, Kniss (arrived at 7:15 p.m.),
Huber, McCown, Rosenbaum, Schneider, Wheeler
SPECIAL ORDERS OF THE DAY
1. Resolution 7684 entitled “Resolution of the Council of the City of Palo Alto
Expressing Appreciation to Sandy Eakins for Outstanding Public Service as a Member of the Planning Commission”
MOTION: Council Member Schneider moved, seconded by McCown, to adopt
the Resolution.
MOTION PASSED 7-0-1, Eakins not participating, Kniss absent.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
T. J. Watt, Homeless, spoke regarding the City should be highly protective of
Chinese capable of doing computer sales to China-- not of the criminal element
who tries to run them out.
Jim McFall, 1530 Escobita Avenue, spoke regarding trees.
Edmund Power, 2254 Dartmouth Street, spoke regarding responsibility.

2. PUBLIC HEARING: The City Council will consider a request from Stanford
University to certify a Final Environmental Impact Report and approve
various entitlement requests related to a set of proposed development

City Attorney Ariel Calonne announced that the City had been sued on the
interim historic regulations.
