HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-01-27 City Council Summary Minutes 01/27/97 −174 Regular Meeting January 27, 1997 The City Council of the City of Palo Alto met on this date in the Council Chambers at 7:15 p.m. PRESENT: Andersen, Eakins, Fazzino (arrived at 7:16 p.m.), Huber, Kniss (arrived at 7:16 p.m.), McCown, Rosenbaum, Schneider, Wheeler (arrived at 7:16 p.m.) ORAL COMMUNICATIONS Edmund Power, 2254 Dartmouth Street, spoke regarding Democracy. Cathie Lehrberg, 1085 University Avenue, spoke regarding the Comprehensive Plan. Patrick Burt, 1249 Harriet Street, spoke regarding the Comprehensive Plan. APPROVAL OF MINUTES MOTION: Council Member Rosenbaum moved, seconded by Andersen, to approve the Minutes of November 4, 1996, as submitted. MOTION PASSED 8-0-1, Eakins “abstaining.” CONSENT CALENDAR MOTION: Council Member Rosenbaum moved, seconded by Wheeler, to approve Consent Calendar Item Nos. 1-3. 1. Consultant Agreement between the City of Palo Alto and Adamson Associates for Implementation of Module III of Infrastructure Management System Project 2. Contract between the City of Palo Alto and O’Grady Paving, Inc. for Service Road Improvements at Hansen Way Substation 3. Ordinance 4397 entitled “Ordinance of the Council of the City of Palo Alto Amending the Budget for the Fiscal Year 1996-97 to Provide an Additional Appropriation for the Community 01/27/97 −175 Services Department to Receive Matching Grant Funds from the California Arts Council” MOTION PASSED 9-0. PUBLIC HEARINGS 4. PUBLIC HEARING: The City Council will consider a request from Stanford University to certify a Final Environmental Impact Report and approve various entitlement requests related to a set of proposed development projects commonly known as the Stanford Sand Hill Corridor Projects (Public Testimony). Please see attached Reporter’s transcript. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting adjourned at 11:00 p.m. to an Adjourned City Council Meeting on Thursday, January 30, 1997.
