July 27, 2010 HONORABLE CITY COUNCIL City of Palo Alto SUBJECT: Interview of Candidate for the Planning and Transportation Commission for two four year Terms Ending July 31, 2014. Dear Council Members: Six applications were received for the Planning and Transportation Commission. By a vote of the Council, all six applicants have been scheduled to interview. In an effort to accommodate Council’s busy schedule prior to summer break, we are making an exception to the normal process by scheduling two interview sessions. Four candidates were interviewed on July 21, 2010. Two candidates were scheduled to interview on July 27, 2010 beginning at 6:00 p.m. One of those candidates, Wick Goodspeed has withdrawn his application. Brent Butler is scheduled interview at 6:00 on July 27, 2010 in the Council Conference Room. Planning and Transportation applicants that were interviewed on July 21, 2010 are as follows: Sarah Carpenter 6:00 Arthur Keller 6:15 Tracy Herrick 6:30 Samir Tuma 6:45 The City Council will vote to appoint two candidates for the four year terms ending July 31, 2014 to the Planning and Transportation Commission at the City Council Meeting on August 2, 2010.
