RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF -THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO LELAND MUCKEY
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE
AS A MEMBER OF THE PALO ALTO CHILD CARE TASK FORCE
WHEREAS, the Palo Alto Child Care Task Force was
established to advise the City Council on matters pertaining to
child care and to develop a Child Care Master Plan that would make
quality child care available, affordable, and accessible to Palo
Alto residents; and
WHEREAS, the Child Care Task Force has developed ongoing
programs that provide great benefit to the Palo Alto community and
has successfully completed its charge of writing and implementing
a five-year Child Care Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, Leland Muckey has served the City of Palo Alto
as a Member of the Child Care Task Force; and
WHEREAS, Leland Muckey has unselfishly contributed his
knowledge and offered his understanding and expertise on child care
issues in Palo Alto; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto wishes to acknowledge and
thank Leland Muckey for his personal commitment and pride in the
community and his significant personal efforts and long-term
dedication as a Member of the Child Care Task Force.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Leland Muckey
for his faithful and excellent service.
