RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO CYNTHIA CANNADY
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE
AS A MEMBER OF THE PALO ALTO CHILD CARE TASK FORCE
WHEREAS, the Palo Alto Child Care Task Force was
established to advise the City Council on matters pertaining to
child care and to develop a Child Care Master Plan that would make
quality child care available, affordable, and accessible to Palo
Alto residents; and
WHEREAS, the Child Care Task Force has developed ongoing
programs that provide great benefit to the Palo Alto community and
has successfully completed its charge of writing and implementing
a five-year Child Care Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, Cynthia Cannady has served the City of Palo Alto
as a Member of the Child Care Task Force; and
WHEREAS, Cynthia Cannady has unselfishly contributed her
knowledge and offered her understanding and expertise on child care
issues in Palo Alto; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto wishes to acknowledge and
thank Cynthia Cannady for her personal commitment and pride in the
community and her significant personal efforts and long-term
dedication as a Member of the Child Care Task Force.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Cynthia
Cannady for her faithful and excellent service.
