RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO MADDY STEIN
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE
AS A MEMBER OF THE PALO ALTO CENTENNIAL 1994 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WHEREAS, Maddy Stein has been a member of the Palo Alto
Centennial 1994 Board of Directors since 1993; and
WHEREAS, Maddy Stein helped prepare for the hugely
successful Centennial Premiere; and
WHEREAS, Maddy Stein has been a member of the Fund-
raising Committee, whose early participation set the tone for a
successful Endowment Fund of $525,000; and
WHEREAS, Maddy Stein's advice led to even greater
community participation in fund-raising; and
WHEREAS, Maddy Stein gave generously of her time and
resources.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Maddy Stein
for her lengthy and loyal volunteer service in making Palo Alto's
Centennial Year a smashing success.
