RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO GAIL SCHUBERT'
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE
AS A MEMBER OF THE PALO ALTO CENTENNIAL 1994 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WHEREAS, Gail Schubert was one of the first Board Members
of the Palo Alto Centennial 1994 Board of Directors and an early
President of the Centennial Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, Gail Schubert helped set the plans for the
successful year; and
WHEREAS, Gail Schubert was a faithful member of the
Executive Committee and the Board; and
WHEREAS, Gail Schubert was generous with her time helping
to organize the successful Centennial Eve and Neighbors Abroad
events; and
WHEREAS, Gail Schubert kept the records for the Greg
Brown lithograph sale, which enriched the Centennial Endowment
Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Gail Schubert
for her lengthy and loyal volunteer service in making Palo Alto's
Centennial Year a smashing success.
