RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO LINDA RIDDER
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE
AS A MEMBER OF THE PALO ALTO CENTENNIAL 1994 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WHEREAS, Linda Ridder has been a member of the Palo Alto
Centennial 1994 Board of Directors since 1993; and
WHEREAS, Linda Ridder was an important liaison with The
Mercury News, whose consistent underwriting and publicity of
Centennial events was a major support to the Centennial; and
WHEREAS, Linda Ridder assured the generous financial
support of the newspaper, especially the April 16, 1994, Birthday
Celebration and October 7, 1994, insert, "Passing The Torch," Palo
Alto's commemorative Centennial publication; and
WHEREAS, Linda Ridder participated in the 21st Century
Committee and its many activities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Linda Ridder
for her lengthy and loyal volunteer service in making Palo Alto's
Centennial Year a smashing success.
