RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO SUSIE RICHARDSON
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE
AS A MEMBER OF THE PALO ALTO CENTENNIAL 1994 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WHEREAS, Susie Richardson has been a member of the Palo
Alto. Centennial 1994 Board of Directors since the beginning; and
WHEREAS, Susie Richardson was one of the first Centennial
Board Members who participated in the planning for the Centennial;
and
WHEREAS, Susie Richardson was Co -Chair of the Community
Campaign and was instrumental in reaching additional donors to
enable the Centennial Endowment Fund to reach $525,000; and
WHEREAS, Susie Richardson's imagination and creative
ideas led to many clever funding appeals to the public; and
WHEREAS, Susie Richardson's wide knowledge of the
community led to including great diversity to Centennial events and
projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Susie
Richardson for her lengthy and loyal volunteer service in making
Palo Alto's Centennial Year a smashing success.
