RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF.PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO LIZ RAFFEL
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE
AS PALO ALTO CENTENNIAL 1994 PRODUCTS CO-CHAIR
WHEREAS, Liz Raffel was a Co -Chair of the Centennial
Products Committee; and
WHEREAS, Liz Raffel is a talented, creative, and
professional designer; and
WHEREAS, Liz Raffel developed a business plan for
Centennial products that the Centennial Board of Directors adopted
with awe and appreciation; and
WHEREAS, Liz Raffel donated her time and talent to
develop a line of original Centennial products which contributed
$45,000 to the Centennial's finances; and
WHEREAS, Liz Raffel's unstinting oversight (The Logo
Patrol) kept the Centennial logo from any corrupting influence; and
WHEREAS, while doing all this, Liz Raffel produced her
own product, Grant Doyle Raffel, borr. on August 15, 1994, the
Centennial's baby.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Liz Raffel
for her lengthy and loyal volunteer service and for her part in
making Palo Alto's Centennial Year a smashing success.
