RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO ORLANDO MAIONE
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SFRVICE
AS A MEMBER OF THE PALO ALTO CENTENNIAL 1994 BOARD OF DIRECTOT'.S
WHEREAS, Orlando Maione was one of the earliest members
of the Palo Alto Centennial 1994 Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, Orlando Maione was one of the Board's early
Presidents; and
WHEREAS, Orlando Maione's participation never flagged or
diminished; and
WHEREAS, Orlando Maione organized the logo contest, which
produced the striking, memorable, and colorful logo of the
Centennial; and
WHEREAS, Orlando Maione was Co -Chair of the Time Capsule
Committee; and
WHEREAS, Orlando Maione was instrumental in promulgating
the time capsule design and community involvement process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo ".lto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Orlando
Maione for his lengthy and loyal volunteer service and for his part
in making Palo Alto's Centennial Year a smashing success.
