RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO FRANK LOPEZ
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE
AS PALO ALTO CENTENNIAL 1994 EVENTS PRODUCER AND ORGANIZER
WHEREAS,
and organizer; and
Frank Lopez is an accomplished events producer
WHEREAS, Frank Lopez is co -creator of Grass Roots
Productions; and
WHEREAS, Frank Lopez was both volunteer and professional
worker all during the full Centennial year; and
WHEREAS, Frank Lopez was Co -Producer of Centennial
Opening Day, October 10, 1993, which set the tone for emphasis on
area nonprofits and their services to the community, along with
having fun in the process; and
WHEREAS, Frank Lopez was in on the creation of the 21st
Century Committee and an active participant and leader of that
group; and
WHEREAS, Frank Lopez was creator of the Closing
Ceremonies, October 8 and October 16, 1994, which topped off the
Centennial year with entertainment, passing the torch, and dancing
in the streets; and
WHEREAS, Frank Lopez is an accomplished professional with
an original flair.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Frank Lopez
for his superlative professional support, much pro bono work, and
lively spirit.
