RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO ALAN HENDERSON
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE
AS A MEMBER OF THE PALO ALTO CENTENNIAL 1994 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WHEREAS, Alan Henderson is a former Council Member and
Mayor of the great City of Palo Alto; and
WHEREAS, Alan Henderson has been a member of the Palo
Alto Centennial 1994 Board of Directors since 1993; and
WHEREAS, Alan Henderson has brought his wide knowledge of
the community to the Centennial; and
WHEREAS, Alan Henderson often brought humor and a neat
turn of phase to Board meetings; and
WHEREAS, Alan Henderson has been an important member of
the Fund-raising Committee whose work brought a $525,000 endowment
fund to the community; and
WHEREAS, Alan Henderson oversaw the budget and all
Centennial rinances including the Audit Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Alan
Henderson for his lengthy and loyal volunteer service and for his
part in making Palo Alto's Centennial Year a smashing success.
