RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO CARROLL HARRINGTON
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE
AS A MEMBER OF THE PALO ALTO CENTENNIAL 1994 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WHEREAS, Carroll Harrington has been a member of the Palo
Alto Centennial 1994 Board of Directors since 1993; and
WHEREAS, Carroll Harrington was the Centennial Public
Relations Chair of unparalleled imagination and creativity; and
WHEREAS, Carroll Harrington was the Centennial Treasurer
who kept every penny in its proper place; and
WHEREAS, Carroll Harrington was a member of too many
committees to enumerate; and
WHEREAS, Carroll Harrington was a perfectionist in every
written word and every square inch of graphic art for the
Centennial; and
WHEREAS, Carroll Harrington provided humor, wit, and
uppity observations on occasion during the Centennial year; and
WHEREAS, Carroll Harrington is a computer whiz, whose
scanning expertise won her the admiration of the "On the Wall
Gang"; and
WHEREAS, Carroll Harrington was the heart and head of the
Planning Committee and always garbed in Centennial colors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Carroll
Harrington for her lengthy and loyal volunteer service and for her
part in making Palo Alto's Centennial Year a smashing success.
