RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO BARBARA FOSTER
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE
AS A MEMBER OF THE PALO ALTO CENTENNIAL 1994 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WHEREAS, Barbara Foster has been one of the early members
of the Palo Alto Centennial 1994 Board of Directors since 1988; and
WHEREAS, Barbara Foster's energy and participation never
flagged; and
WHEREAS, Barbara Foster was co-organizer of the
successful Writer's Forum lecture series in the Palo Alto
Libraries; and
WHEREAS, Barbara Foster's incisive comments brought
clarity of purpose to Board projects and programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Barbara
Foster for her lengthy and loyal volunteer service and for her part
in making Palo Alto's Centennial Year a smashing success.
