RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO SUSAN CARMICHAEL
FOR OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE
AS A MEMBER OF THE PALO ALTO CENTENNIAL 1994 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WHEREAS, Susan Carmichael has been a member of the Palo
Alto Centennial 1994 Board of Directors since 1993; and
WHEREAS, Susan Carmichael was Co -Founder and first Co -
President of the 21st Century Committee, an important committee of
the Palo Alto Centennial 1994 representing 20- to 40 -year -olds from
the Midpeninsula; and
WHEREAS, Susan Carmichael helped recruit over 600
participants in the 21st Century Committee; and
WHEREAS, Susan Carmichael was Co -Chair of the Food
Committee for the April 16 Birthday Celebration; and
WHEREAS, Susan Carmichael organized the Thank You
Celebration for all who participated in the April 16 Birthday
Celebration.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Palo Alto hereby gratefully records and extends its sincere
appreciation and the appreciation of the community to Susan
Carmichael for her lengthy and loyal volunteer service in making
Palo Alto's Centennial Year a smashing success.
